We’re celebrating and saying thank you to our fantastic volunteers this week!
From 1st-7th June is volunteers week and we want to take the opportunity to thank and showcase our volunteers for the amazing contribution they make to The Children’s Foundation!
The Children’s Foundation would not be able to continue supporting children and young people across the North East without the help of our fantastic volunteers who generously give their time to support us!
Please read on to find out more about our volunteers their roles and the difference they make:
Christine Jenson – Office Volunteer
Christine joined The Children’s Foundation in February 2016 and has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team over the past year. Coming from a background in administration in the paint industry, Christine has helped us to create and maintain our income generation and corporate fundraising databases. She has recently begun to complete detailed grants and bids on behalf of the organisation, helping to secure large monetary donations to maintain the longevity of our wonderful projects. Furthermore, Christine supports the administration of our Regional Small Grants application process, organising meetings and shortlisting applications alongside the committee. She is a real asset to The Children’s Foundation team!
Courtney Wallace – Office Volunteer
Courtney has been volunteering with The Children’s Foundation for a number of years now and is happy to help out in any way possible! She has completed bucket collections, helped at events, managed our ebay store and helped with fundraising and event administration. Courtney is a international development graduate from Newcastle University and brings with her lots of enthusiasm and a real passion for the non-profit industry. We are very glad to have her on the team.
Holly Longden – Ebay Volunteer
Holly has been volunteering with The Children’s Foundation since September 2017 as an ebay volunteer. She visits us weekly, in between her university lectures, to manage and develop our ebay store. Sadly, it was Hollys last day with us today and she will be a big miss!
Elle Robinson – Volunteer Photographer
Elle joined the Children’s Foundation team in 2017 and kindly helps us with videography and photography. She is currently completing her degree in fashion communication at Northumbria University. Her creative skills and eye for photography is a real asset to the team.
Elizabeth Eaton – PR Volunteer
Elizabeth has helped the Children’s Foundation improve and enhance our PR and marketing activities on the side of developing her own work as PR consultant. Elizabeth kindly worked with the team to develop and implement a detailed PR plan. She is always available to ask for advice and help with press releases and publicity ideas. We feel very grateful to have her skills and expertise on hand!
We are always looking for new people who would like to get involved in volunteering and become part of The Children’s Foundation family. Please follow the link to find out more.
