TIN Arts 20 Year Celebration
The Children’s Foundation would like to say a big Happy Birthday to our friends at TIN Arts!
TIN Arts was founded in 1999 by professional contemporary dancers Tess Chaytor and Martin Wilson. They are a not-for-profit company and governed by a board of trustees. The TIN Arts Team have, between them, over 70 years experience of delivering high quality arts activity in community and educational settings and they all take great pride in the work they do.
TIN Arts are passionate about dance, the performing arts and the difference these make to people’s lives. Their vision is that everybody has access to the arts. They work to achieve this by removing barriers and increasing access to high quality dance and performing arts.
Our partnership with them allows us to fund Clown Doctors in the Great North Children’s Hospital, Sunderland Royal Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham.
Clown Doctors is an innovative programme offering hospitalised children opportunities to take part in artistic play. It aims to relieve them of fear and insecurities and to empower the children to understand and come to terms with their situation at a traumatic time in their lives.
We would like to say a great big thank you to TIN Arts for inviting us to celebrate their 20th year celebration and we look forward to more clowning around in 2019!
