Running events 2013

It’s not just the Great North Run that’s happening this year, there are many running events happening throughout the North East, for all ages, levels and abilities.

 23rd June – Great North 10km

If you’re looking for something which isn’t as intense as the Great North Run, or are looking for a warm up to it, why not try the Great North 10km. Starting and finishing at Gateshead International Stadium, runners will complete the 10km route, via the quayside. Over 5,00 runners take part in the run which is suitable for all levels and abilities.

 14th September – Great North 5km

The Great North 5km takes part in the weekend of running, giving a great warm up to the Great North Run the next day. This is perfect for those beginners who want to ease themselves into running.

 15th September – Great North Run

Join in Britain’s largest running event along with 55,000 others. This half marathon from Newcastle to South Shields attracts people from all over the world and is often a ‘must-do’ for many people in the North East.

The Great North Run weekend has something for all ages, featuring a 1.5km Mini event suitable for children aged 3-8 years and a 4km Junior event for 9-16 year olds

For all running events, participants will be a part of Team TCF, receiving training and fundraising updates, along with a TCF Running vest and sponsorship pack. Our team of fundraisers will be on hand to help with all your queries along the way.
