The Children’s Foundation supporting the European Academy of Childhood Disability Conference 2013
The 25th European Academy of Childhood Disability three day conference will be hosted at The Sage in Newcastle-Gateshead from 10th-12th October 2013, with a keynote session on ethics sponsored by The Children’s Foundation.
The theme of the conference is From Basic Research to Policy. There will be an exciting mix of presentations including lectures from keynote speakers, invited oral presentations, submitted oral presentations, posters and debates on hot topics in research and practice.
Exhibitions of new technologies and interventions will take place on the first two days of the conference, and a Young People’s Workshop: Being Active, Staying Healthy on the last day.
Peregrine Solly, Chief Executive of The Children’s Foundation, says “Supporting innovative research that will improve the lives of children with disabilities in the North East, is at the heart of what The Children’s Foundation stands for. Without vital research, developing new technologies and the sharing of this information, improvements cannot be made for children, who so desperately need our help.”
