North East Grand Prix 2016
The Children’s Foundation’s annual North East Grand Prix returns on the 25th November and you’re invited!
The day kicks off at 5pm at F1K Indoor Karting. Your team will receive a full safety briefing, 15 minutes practise on the course then a 90 minute endurance race and a podium presentation with trophies for the top 3 teams.
As part of your booking you will be equipped with race suits, helmets, gloves and a balaclava and your laps will be electronically recorded.
Teams will also be able to enjoy trackside refreshments and network with other teams. There will also be a raffle with lots of great prizes.
All money raised goes directly to The Children’s Foundation. We fund research and practical interventions to improve the health and well-being of children and young people in the region. Last year the charity directly helped, involved or affected the lives of over 30,000 children across the North East. We also fund a number of community based projects including:
- Clown Doctors at the Great North Children’s Hospital
- Stars Awards – celebrating the achievements of children living with a disability
- 3D Pain Distraction Units – distracting children undergoing painful treatments
- Because minding matters appeal – where we are striving to work across the region to tackle the mental health and wellbeing issues which children face
This is a very popular event and teams are limited so make sure to reserve yours fast. Please get in touch with Jonathan to secure your place
