Great North Run 2012
The best year yet…
(Sue Jones – 6th Great North Run for TCF)
Team TCF was made up of over 100 runners this year, inlcluding Team Run Geordie Run led by Run Geordie Run Mark Allison, making it the biggest year so far. The Great North Run is always one of our main fundraisers, but this year was made even more special by the effort and commitment put in by every team member.
(Stephen Singleton, Chairman of The Children’s Foundation & partner Pauline Gray)
The atmosphere on the day was amazing and it was so great to see our supporters joining us at the end in the Charity Village. It was so lovely to meet you all and thank you for your support and dedication to The Children’s Foundation.
(Mark Allison – Run Geordie Run)
For most of us, training for the Great North Run involves a couple of runs a week, ore time at the gym and a healthy balanced diet. But for Run Geordie Run it included a 78 mile run through Death Valley just a week before the Great North Run! A bit extreme for training for a half marathon, but Mark is also in training for his run across Australia next year. As if that wasnt enough, Mark also decided to run dressed as our infamous Lion to show his support, leading Team Run Geordie Run.
