The Golden Pin goes to Tait Walker

The Children’s Foundation’s fifth annual Ten Pin Bowling Tournament took place on Thursday 3rd March 2016 at the Metrocentre Namco Bowling Alley. The Children’s Foundation’s Fundraising Committee helped organised this event and as always it was very well attended by the professionals of the North East. The event is not only competitive but also offers a fun platform for networking, unlike, any other event in the region.

Companies bowling for glory:- Brewin Dolphin, Leathers LLP,  Handelsbanken Newcastle, Knight Frank, Handelsbanken Sunderland,  Ryecroft Glenton, SOS Group, Clarke Mairs Solicitors, Tait Walker and Bond Dickinson.

Libby Nolan, Fundraising Manager, The Children’s Foundation, commented “This event attracts teams from some of the most well respected companies in the region. I have help organising this brilliant night by our fundraising committee, again, made up of professionals from some of these companies such as Brewin Dolphin and Handelsbanken. These events let us continue our work to improve the health and well being of children in the North East and North Cumbria. Last year, we directly affected over 30,000 lives’ of some of the North East’s most vulnerable children.”

Tait Walker came back with a vengeance this year, after winning the very first Bowling Tournament back in 2011 and struck gold by stealing the winning title from last year’s winners Brewin Dolphin! Also taking home a golden pin was Paul from Handelsbanken Sunderland with the highest individual score of the night.

Thank you to all who supported the event including our donated raffle prizes. If you would like to get involved with any of our future events please contact Libby
