Christmas 2013

A BIG Festive Thank You!

The Children’s Foundation would to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the companies, choirs, volunteers and the massively generous people of the North East – who have once again helped us raise over £6,500 over the festive season.

Through carol singing at The Bridges Shopping Centre and intu Eldon Square, gift wrapping at intu Eldon Square and collecting at pantomimes, Jack and the Beanstalk at the Theatre Royal and Sleeping Beauty at the Mill Volvo Tyne Theatre – vital funds were raised to help us to continue our work improving the health and well being of children and young people from across the North East.

The Children’s Foundation is the leading children’s charity in the North East of England funding research and practical interventions to improve the health and well-being of children and young people in the region. Last year the charity directly helped, involved or affected the lives of 29,500 children across the North East. The Children’s Foundation supports and manages projects across a broad spectrum of activities, particularly those that deal with some of the more difficult areas of children’s and young people’s problems – such as disability, disadvantage and mental health issues.

In anticipation for next year, if you could ask friends/family & colleagues for left over paper that they could donate, The Children’s Foundation would be so grateful. Call the office on 01912820000 and if it is large amounts we can arrange for local collection or can be dropped off at The Children’s Foundation office based at the RVI.
