The Call for research applications this year is around the prevention of mental health problems in children and young people, and is now open! Prevention can refer to primary prevention or to preventive actions designed to minimise mental health problems or prevent development of secondary consequences.

Over the past 10 years The Children’s Foundation’s Research Advisory Panel has awarded almost £250,000 in research grants across the North East. Projects have varied from ‘Anxiety associated with uncertainty in children with autism’ to ‘Obesity, Mental Health and Lifesyle in asolescents’

The Childrens Foundation has a particular interest in research that explores the integration or collaboration of services to tackle issues relating to children and young people’s mental health.

Applications may be for small projects that seek just a few thousand pounds; or for larger projects for which the maximum likely to be funded would be about £10,000.

Deadline for submission: 17.00 hours on Thursday 31st August 2017

We hope to announce our decision by October 2017
