The Children’s Foundation has a new volunteer role! Volunteers will work in Academy 360 in Sunderland as Mentors on the Nurture Project.
The Nurture Project aims to work alongside educational staff to enhance and enable new therapeutic opportunities for students, whilst also increasing support offered to the wider provision community by offering information, advice and guidance to students’ families and carers. Meeting this aim will provide a holistic model that enhances students supported educational provision and embraces and empowers opportunities for social and emotional development. The Nurture project will be based within Academy 360, Sunderland.
The volunteer mentors will work either in a ‘drop in’ function or work with staff to provide planned support to specific students. Volunteers will be fully briefed in working with individual students and have a dedicated staff member as a point of contact.
