Tyne Bridge Zip Slide

The Tyne Bridge offers some fantastic views of the Quayside, so why not make the most of them by speeding over 25mph on a Zip Slide across the Tyne.

On Saturday 11th May, brave supporters and thrill seekers alike will Zip slide from the Tyne Bridge to HMS Calliope on the Gateshead side of the Tyne, all to raise money for children in the region.

Places are £35, with a pledge to raise £100. Places for the Zip Slide will be through Cash for Kids, who have kindly reserved places for supporters to raise vital funds for The Children’s Foundation.

Money rasied from the day will go towards The Children’s Foundation’s happy, healthy safe appeal. This appeal raises money to fund vital medical and lifestyle research so we can help to cure sick children and prevent them from becoming ill. The appeal also supports NHS services for children, such as their campaign to include the latest technology in the new Great North Children’s Hospital, in order to make time spent in the hospital as comfortable and stress-free as possible for children and their families.
They also manage partnership projects which deliver practical, researched interventions to help children with disabilities or mental health issues and to promote the importance of child safety.
