‘New’ Website thanks to Glen Wheeler
The Children’s Foundation has been gifted a bespoke website using the most current responsive technology, automatically adjusting to different size screens such as tablets and mobile phones. The website has been developed by North East web guru Glen Wheeler, to generate more income and help vulnerable children in the region.
Natalina Sutherland, Media and Community Fundraising Co-ordinator, said “We are so happy with the outcome of this project. The website is all singing all dancing and has exceeded our expectations. It links to our social media sites and YouTube channel, so we’ll be able to share information about our projects and fundraising events easily.”
Our Ambassador Mark Allison, Run Geordie Run, said “The new site is brilliant. Uncluttered, clear and some lovely big images.”
Glen Wheeler said, “The website was handed over to me after working for a digital agency in Newcastle. This website is part of a redevelopment of their online presence to help other’s recognise and notice their on-going support. It was a great project to work on as The Children’s foundation brief was fairly open. They had certain requirements and ideas about the design but left the concept up to me and I’m really happy with it.”
Glen Wheeler continued, “The web is a forever changing environment due to emerging technologies in both hardware and software, especially in areas of web performance and mobile. I try to inform others of my research and incorporate this into my client’s projects, hopefully giving them a forward moving website – that can be adapted and easily updated to keep it fresh and relevant.”
Glen is a front-end developer, designer and consultant working from the quayside of Newcastle upon Tyne.
