Great North Run 2015
This year The Children’s Foundation had almost 100 members of Team TCF following in the footsteps of Mo Farrah by taking part in the Great North Run 2015. The team ran, jogged and walked 13.1 miles from Newcastle to South Shields all to raise money for children here in the North East.
Joining them was Mark Allison ‘Run Geordie Run’ who headed up a team of 10 runners to form Team Run Geordie Run. The two teams as a whole have risen over £15,000 and donations keep flooding in every day.
Runners were welcomed back to the charity village by a team of volunteers with a range of treats and drinks kindly donated by local businesses. Staff and students from Sunderland College were also on hand in our charity marquee to give out free sports massages to some very tired runners.
A massive well done to everyone who took part!
