Family Fun Day returns to Kirkley Hall
The date for your diary is the 26th of June 2016, the venue is again Kirkley Hall and families from across the region are invited to get involved in activities such as traditional lawn games, inflatable bowling, treasure hunt and much more. With a craft fair, mini food festival and face painting also taking place there really is something for everyone. Seven Stories will be making an appearance with their ‘Into the woods’ storytelling and Daslne will once again offer their relaxed space for children with Autism. Entry to the Family Fun Day costs just £3 (under 2’s free) and includes admission to Kirkley Hall’s Zoological Gardens, zip wire and climbing wall.
Money raised from the day will go towards combating the distress, disabilities and disadvantages faced by many children and young people in the North East and North Cumbria. Jonathan Clegg, Community Fundraiser at The Children’s Foundation said, “It was fantastic to see over 3,000 people having such a great time last year and we’re looking to make this year’s event even better! Not only do people get to enjoy all the activities we have on offer but they are also making a difference to the lives of children and young people right here in our region.”
