Family Fun Day 2016

Families from across the region came together for a fun family day out and helped to raise thousands for children and young people across the North East.

Kirkley Hall once again played host to The Children’s Foundation Family Fun Day and over 1,500 people were in attendance helping to raise almost £5,000!!

There was a vast array of activities on offer; from entry to Kirkley Hall attractions such as the Zoological Gardens, Zip Wire and Climbing Wall to story telling by Seven Stories and an outdoor inflatable bowling alley courtesy of Namco Funscape, Metro Centre.

Entertainment in the form of an all day outdoor disco was provided by Monster DJ and Jake Houslby made a courtyard busking appearance. Our craft stall saw over 20 stalls with a wide range of products on offer and the Kirkley Hall outdoor BBQ kept everyone’s hunger at bay.

The Children’s Foundation would like to say a huge thank  you to all of our volunteers on the day, with special thanks going to Newcastle East and Gosforth Sea Cadets for their help with the car parking and marshaling. Huge thanks also goes to Christopher Cook for not only designing all the promotional material for the event (which looked great!!), but also coming along on the day and helping out. We appreciate the help of each and every one of our volunteers and the day would not have been such a success without your help and support!

We’d love to see you all again next year so keep your eyes pealed for info on our future events!
