Rough Runner Obstacle Challenge
Rough Runner is an obstacle course challenge, combining distance running with a variety of obstacles along the way, each inspired by game shows such as Total Wipeout, Takeshi’s Castle, Gladiators, and Fun House. Expect a 40m slide, giant pigeon battles, sweeper arms, big balls and yes, The Travelator!
2018 will see Rough Runner arrive in the North East for the very first time to Lambton Estate.
With a 5km, 10km and 15km route available across the most ridiculously beautiful place, featuring loads of forest paths, plenty of riverside running and some stunning meadows, you’ll have a host of natural obstacles along with up to 20 of our immense challenges.
Hadrian’s Wall Walk
This most ancient of charity treks takes you from Lanercost Priory to Brocolitia, encompassing some fascinating ruins. It is the most remarkable Roman monument in the country, and quite unique throughout the former Empire. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site – which cuts through Northumberland National Park, Hadrian’s Wall attracts trekkers from all over, as it offers great challenging walks, filled with a stunning backdrop and history.
Lakes 4 Peaks Challenge
This stunning challenge takes place in one of the UK’s most beautiful locations. Trek and summit the four highest peaks of The Lake District – Scafell Pike, Scafell, Helvellyn and Skiddaw. The trekking begins at Seathwaite, from where you tackle Scafell and Scafell Pike via the Corridor route. Stamina and determination are a must on this fantastic but strenuous challenge; although it involves some tough trekking, the stunning views of the Lake District will be with you all the way and the close proximity of the four peaks means that it’s possible to do all this in one great weekend!
