Volunteering
Volunteers play a vital role at The Children's Foundation. Throughout the year volunteers kindly donate many hours of their time in order to support of events, collections and help out in the office.
Volunteering is a great experience and allows you to gain important skills in a variety of roles. Volunteering gives you the opportunity to enhance your CV and even make some new friends along the way!
At The Children's Foundation we accept volunteers of all ages making it easy for everyone to be part of the team. You could even volunteer as part of a group, like DUCK at Durham University who have helped out with many collections, even getting dressed up in our famous Wizard of Oz costumes!
Volunteers are an integral part of The Children's Foundation and we like to make sure that our supporters know all about the vital work our volunteers do. Rossie, found us through the Newcastle Volunteer Centre and became our PR volunteer, assisting our in house PR & Events Co-ordinator. Rossie worked extremely hard for us over the few months she was here and even made it into our Tenner Time volunteer profile.
We also need volunteers to help at events. Event volunteers are particularly important for The Children's Foundation as they help make the event run smoothly for the team.
