Courage the Lion joins Inspirational Athletes at Reason To Disability Triathlon!
On Sunday the 17th September, Courage the lion was invited along to join some truly inspirational athletes at the annual Reason-to Disability Triathlon.
Based at the David Lloyd Club in Gosforth, the Reason-to Disability Triathlon is a relaxed fun event for children with disabilities and their siblings to enjoy. A range of distances are available and can be completed according to capability of the child. The children complete a 25m, 50m or 100m Swim, a 1km or 2km bikeup finishing with a finale 900m walk, run or scoot. As much help as needed is available with use of specialist bikes, scooters, wheelchairs and walkers. The event ended with a fundraising raffle with all proceeds going to The Children’s Foundation.
Courage had an amazing morning taking part alongside all the amazing, young athletes! Many thanks to everyone who bought a raffle ticket and to Jo Shallcross for inviting us along.
