Lingey House Primary School, Gateshead, were the first to recieve the education baton in our Great North Baton Challenge. Friday 7th November seen the pupils of all ages do a sponsered run around the nearby park.  Each class took it in turns to do a lap around the park before passing the baton over.  The children had a great time, some even doing a few extra laps for fun!  We would like to say a huge thank you to Lingey House's pupils and staff for raising an amazing amount of money to help the Great North Children's Hospital.

Lingey House Primary passed the baton to Oakfield Junior School.  At the start of December the pupils changed their normal hair for wacky and wonderful hair dos!  A big thank you to everybody who took part on the day and we hope your hair is back to normal!

In October students from the Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington, raised money for the Baton Challenge.  They held a St Trinian's fancy dress day in a bid to fundraise in their month they had the baton.  The college managed to raise a fantastic £585!
