Mobex North East Abseils
Do you have a head for heigths?
We are looking for anyone with a head for heights who wants to raise money for a worthy cause, by abseiling down the Vermont Hotel. The abseil is in partnership with Mobex North East Abseils and the Vermont Hotel.
The registration fee is £25 and we ask for a minimum sponsorship of £50.

Thistle & Clover Bike RIde - Edinburgh to Dublin
Covering over 220 miles in 3 days, the Thistle and Clover Bike Ride Challenge takes you from the quiet country lanes of Scotland, along the east coast of Ireland, to the busy capital city of Dublin. Once here, you will have chance to soak up the atmosphere before flying back.
Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge
Covering 150 miles of some of Britain's fantastic scenery, over 2 days, the Coast to Coast Cycle Challenge is a great way to see the sights from the Lake District to the Yorkshire Moors, as well as meeting new people who enjoy a challenge just as much as you.
Hadrian's Wall Trek
Hadrain's Wall was built in AD122 on the orders of the Roman Emperor Hadrian, and stretched from the East to West coasts of Britain, from Bowness on Solway in the West to Wallsend in the East. The Trek covers 25 miles of the wall over 2 days going across Northumberland and giving you a taste of the Roman History in that area.
London to Paris Bike Ride Challenge
Over 4 days you could be cycling from London, to Calais, to Arras, to Compiegne and ending up in Paris, covering a total of 300 miles. The once in a life time experience is topped off with the opportunity to spend your last day sight seeing in Paris.
Three Peak Challenge
This challenge will see you at the top of 3 of the tellest mountains in Britain in just a weekend. Starting in Scotland and climbing the 1,344 meters to the top of Ben Nevis. You will then be driven through the night to the Lake District, to climb Scafell Pike, before taking on Snowden, the highest mountain in Wales.
Transporter Bridge Bungee Jump
Jumps from the Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough are every 3rd and 4th Saturday or Sunday of the month. It costs around £60 to do it, but has no minimum sponsorship. For more information on dates and booking, click here.

Sail the Channel Islands
This is your chance to experince the thrill of sailing a wonderful classic 46ft yawl racing boat! Joining a professional skipper and a mate, you and your fellow challengers will sail from Pool to The Channel Islands. Registration fee is £99 and the minimum fundraising target is £1250. Trek to Machu Picchu
This unique alternative to the extremely busy Inca trail is far off the beaten track and you will see diverse and spectacular scenery as you glimpse a way of Peruvian life tht has remained untouched for centuries. As you walk through these endless stunning valleys you will meet Andean farmers dressed in their traditional brightly coloured ponchos and visit a local school.
Brazilian Trek and Kayak Challenge
Brazil is the world's fifth largest country occupying almost half the South American continent and bordering every country on it except Chile and Ecuador.This exciting challenge combines trekking in the Serra da Bocaina National Park and kayaking in the Bay of Paraty around a substantial rainforest area between Rio and Sao Paulo, very close to the Tropics. Serra da Bocaina National Park, which integrates the Sea Mountain Range, is located between the Northern coast of Sao Paulo and the Southern coast of Rio de Janeiro.
Icelandic Lava Trek
The challenge is to walk the Landmannalaugar route across the Southern Highlands through one of the most actively volcanic areas in Iceland. Most striking of all is the sheer vastness of space with far reaching visibility, crystal clear northern air and the geological diversity of the multi-coloured volcanic rocks. Great Wall Cycle Challenge
Your cycling challenge starts in the village of Yanqing, north of Beijjing city. Each day you will cycle approximately 50kms-90kms in the shadows of the Great Wall, visiting ancient Ming Tombs and Black Dragon Pools National Park along the way.
In the Footsteps of Genghis Khan
Mongolia stirs up visions of wide open landscapes, wild horses galloping across the steppes and a nomadic life little changed since the times of Genghis Khan.
We ride sturdy Mongolian horses for 200km through the remote valleys of the Khangai mountains of central Mongolia, witnessing the traditional herding lifestyle of the Khalkh Mongols. We follow tracks through valleys and mountains, crossing rivers and passing round felt gers before finishing our journey at Kharkhorin, the historic centre of Genghis Khan's Mongol Empire. This is a rare opportunity to experince the beautiful, landscapes of the "land of the blue sky".
The next trip is 11days long starting on the 3rd June 2011.
Artic Survival Challenge
Can you imagine yourself in a winter wilderness environment, miles from anywhere? This once-in-alifetime challenge takes us to northen Sweden and combines the chance to adapt to, and live in, the Artic environment and satisfy your survival instinct!
We participate in husky driving, ice fishing, fire lighting, building shelters and snow-holes, cross-country skiing - to name but a few. We are unlikely to see any people other than ourselves and the occasional local people we visit.
Our week culminates in a two-day survival phase where we are totally reliant on our new skills! Despite the hard work, you wll experince a unique sense of achievement, as well as the tranquillity found beneath the stars of the Arctic skies. This really is a once-in-a-lifetime experince.
Good preparation for this challenge is vital! A compulsory training and information day prior to the trip is run to ensure that you will be able to get the most out of this amazing experince.
