Fundraising and Events Assistant (Placement Year)
Contract Type – One year fixed term beginning summer 2018
Hours – Full time (37.5 hpw) Core office hours are between 10.00- 16.00 Monday to Friday, but the role will entail regular evening and weekend work, with time off in lieu being available.

Are you a passionate and creative university student or graduate looking for a unique placement opportunity to develop skills in fundraising, marketing and events? The Children’s Foundation is looking for a student to join our small but vibrant team to support the team on all necessary aspects of organising, promoting and delivering fundraising events, and ensuring an exceptional supporter experience. These include: The Great North Run, ‘Take 25’ Entrepreneurial Challenge, a series of corporate events including golf and bowling as well as many other one-off fundraising events such as abseils, bag-packs and collections. There is also a busy Christmas period of fundraising events to manage across the region.
Excellent communication skills are vital as you will play an important role in developing and forming strong relationships with individual supporters and donors, ensuring they feel engaged with The Children’s Foundation. We want someone who is motivated, creative and passionate about the work we do.
This role will provide an interesting, stimulating and challenging experience for a student looking to gain experience of event management, fundraising and marketing while working in a worthwhile and rewarding environment.
