The Stars Awards

The Children’s Foundation held their Annual Stars Awards, on the 27th September 2011, at the Northern Football Club, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne, hosted by Steve & Karen from Capital Radio and Mark Allison aka Run Geordie Run

The awards aim to recognise the achievements of children in the North East with a disability, their friends and families, the challenges they face on a daily basis, reward their accomplishments and raise awareness of important issues to ensure equal opportunities.

Everyone had a lovely afternoon and we were all left very amazed by some truley inspirational stories. We would like to thank Steve, Karen and Mark Allison for doing such a good job of presenting the awards as well as Barry Pells of Barry Pells Photography. Also a big thank you to all those who took time out of their day to attend the awards whether you were nominated or supporting a nominee.
